Austrian Film Award 2022

Already for the 12th time the Austrian Film Award was presented on June 30, 2022. The gala, staged by Clara Stern, took place in the Grafenegg Auditorium together with around 1000 guests.

The big winner of this year's award is "Große Freiheit" by director Sebastian Meise. The film won no less than 8 awards, including "Best Feature Film" and "Best Director". The prize for best female lead was awarded to Maria Hofstätter for her work in "Fuchs im Bau", Georg Friedrich was pleased to receive the prize for best male lead.
